Pack it up and ship it out.
That’s the thoughts running through the folks at Jinshilin Techno, a leading Chinese manufacturer of IPTV Set Top boxes, which has recently shipped out its first batch of set top boxes.
These units will be integrated into an IPTV demonstration network for a project developed by the Television and Broadcast Bureau of the Henan Province in China, to provide in-home television to rural residents in that province.
The network is being put together by Shanghai Forests Information Technology Company and Alcatel Network Support System Company.
This is the first of two major advances for the Jinshilin Techno which was only recently acquired by TechnoConcepts out of California. The parent company specializes in unique technology designed to dramatically improve the way wireless signals are transmitted, received, and processed.
The second advance will come for Jinshilin Techno in June of 2007 when they make their second shipment of 100,000 units. These units will be used for a different project in the rural areas of the city of Shangqiu.
Jinshilin Techno has a Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Forest for two million units to be shipped before the year 2010.
The efforts of the new subsidiary – only acquired in July of 2006 – and the efforts of the parent company TechnoConcepts is paying off. The shipments will mark a strong start for the companies in these rural areas.
