Cingular Wireless, the largest wireless company in the United States, has launched the LG CU400, its first 3G phone to feature Push-to-Talk (PTT) technology.
PTT allows a user to discover if the intended recipient of the call is available to talk before the call is placed. The technology provides instant connection and allows users to talk to one person or a group of up to 30 people at the same time with just a push of a button.
A PTT call can be easily converted to a regular mobile call and the device can store up to 99 contacts.
The LG CU400 includes a number of pre-loaded games and music capabilities including Music ID, which allows users to identify songs at the touch of a button; The BUZZ which provides entertainment news; and Music Videos to watch the latest videos from artists. Cingular Video is also available by clicking on the dedicated CV button.
The CU400 features a built-in VGA camera / camcorder and a full range of enhanced messaging services, including Mobile email using Yahoo! Mail, MSN Hotmail, and AOL and Instant Messaging capabilities including AIM Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN.
