HDTV Sheds A New Light
by Kathryn Lang
It will be a new experience in High Definition Television (HDTV). Panasonic introduced its LIFI HD Television Series at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday. The new HDTV will be powered by LUXIM Corporation’s LIFI illumination technology.
LIFI is a new, long-life light source known for its high brightness, long stable performance, fast turn on time, and brilliant colors. It will be a great addition to the industry leader’s current line of HDTV’s.
One of the complaints that HDTV consumers have had with all of the industries past models is that the colors tend to fade with time. This requires the consumers to spend even more money on an already expensive appliance.
The LIFI technology enables high levels of screen brightness, contrast, and color vividness that lasts much longer. Panasonic chose LIFI with these features in mind.
The new Panasonic LIFI HDTV should be available soon in specialty stores and will probably be offered in the 50, 56, 61 inch screens.
LUXIM, a manufacturing company based in California is the inventor of LIFI. The technology brings a new standard to market in stable light power, long life, quality color spectrum, and ease of implementation.
Panasonic has been leading the industry in HDTV. The new LIFI HD Televisions will continue to raise the standard for the market, and should offer consumers one of the best values in the field.
