IPTV Triple Play From Al-Falak

Al-Falak, the leading IP and Communications provider in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, has introduced the first IPTV Triple Play. This is the combination of voice, video, and data streaming all on one network.

The new service will open a world of entertainment to home users in the Gulf region. The innovative IPTV service will have more than 125 digital TV channels that will include news, movies, music, sports, and children’s entertainment. This is the most variety that has yet to be offer for consumers.

The new IPTV service is truly a multi-national project. Components came from countries as diverse as Belgium, the USA, Germany, and Sweden. It is because of these many collaborations that Al-Falak has shown it is determined to be on the cutting edge of IPTV.

IPTV is opening new doors for broadcasting and at the same time it is blowing wide the traditional concept. The technology utilizes broadband for its delivery. This means that costs will be lower for the provider and should subsequently trickle down to the end users. This type of delivery system also allows for a greater choice in programming for the subscribers.

Qatar Telecom (Qtel) is one of the providers that will be taking advantage of Al-Falak’s IPTV Triple Play. So far, the focus of Qtel’s IP investments has been in the business market. This will bring it into the home market.
