HDTV Completes the Pub Experience

HDTV is not just important to the private consumer when it comes to home viewing – it is striking a nerve in pub users as well.

In the past, pubs were able to draw patrons with good food and good beer. Now it is just as important that the establishments have good HDTV’s for the consumer to enjoy. Regular definition sets can take the joy out of any pub experience.

Many private consumers have discovered the hypnotic quality of the HDTV picture. The crisp picture enhances all types of programs – but especially the sporting events. The grass is greener on the side of HDTV.

Many pubs have upgraded to large screen televisions in just the last few years. Those same, cutting edge investments, are now obsolete mammoths crying out for replacement with HDTV. This means that some owners are looking at an additional investment of thousands of dollars just so their patrons can have the ultimate experience while watching football.

The pubs have the better side of this issue.

Other service establishments, especially hotels, don’t want to begin the process of upgrading to HDTV. The costs for them will be in the hundreds of thousands. Just consider the idea of purchasing 150 HDTV’s – with the possibility that by the time the sets are installed, the technology could already be outdated.

It is important that service industries find a way to satisfy the HDTV viewing public. Otherwise, these patrons are likely to never be drawn from their own home viewing experience.
