
Samsung Electronics has launched the Samsung F300, the world’s first mobile phone with a double-face design featuring two LCD screens. One screen is embedded in the front of the phone, one in the rear.
The device, which is part of Samsung’s new Ultra series, is also known as ‘Ultra Music’. It has a mobile phone on one side and a multimedia centre on the other, with an MP3 player, FM radio, 2.0 mega-pixel camera, 128 mega-byte music library and voice memo recorder.
The MP3 player has integrated speakers and users can view play lists and settings on the 2.1 inch colour screen. The screen has a resolution of 176×220 pixels, showing up to 262 thousand colours.
As well as music capabilities, the F300 provides e-mail services, document viewing, Bluetooth, Java games, TV output, MMS, and a web browser.
The F300 measures 103.5 x 44 x 9.4 mm and weighs 77 grams. It has a built in battery with a two-hour recharge time. The device comes with a hard case which acts as a backup battery, giving users 210 hrs of music play time.
