Samsung announces new EDGE camera phone

Samsung Electronics joined with industrial furniture designer Jasper Morrison, to create the stylish Samsung SCH-E590 tri-band EDGE phone.

The sleek, bar design phone comes in noble black or snow silver. One side of the phone features the phone keypad and LCD screen, while the other side is dedicated to powerful camera functions.

The 3.2-megapixel digital camera has auto-focus and video recording capability. A panorama feature offers an intuitive camera user interface with easy to use icons.

The phone comes with the Bean bag accessory – a tripod made of a special rubberised material giving maximum flexibility and grip.

Other features include a multi-format music player and 90MB of internal memory.

Distribution of the device will commence this month to customers in Europe, China, and Southeast Asia.
