Streaming21 of Taiwan has announced an innovative IP broadcasting solution – Media Relay Server 2.0.
The solution allows live TV channels and live events to be broadcast to televisions over public Internet with broadcast video quality in standard and high definitions.
It provides a cost effective alternative to satellite delivery of live video, helping broadcasters to cut the cost of video transmission by using IP networks.
While traditional IPTV and cable TV services rely on expensive managed networks and only serve a limited geographic area, Streaming21 Media Relay Server delivers real-time video to televisions through open networks and accepts subscribers from any ISP.
The solution can deliver high-quality, full-motion video playback to TV over the Internet. Stable streaming delivery over unmanaged networks is ensured and the system also allows live channels to be delivered to televisions over non-multicast networks.
Media Relay Server 2.0 is available immediately.
