Gem to distribute HD ready Meivo-tv
by Janet Harris
Gem Distribution, the UK trade distributor of software, peripherals and converging technologies for PCs and consoles, is to supply a combined HD ready TV/PC meivo.tv from Rock.
Rock, which is better know for its notebooks, has designed Meivo.tv – an LCD TV with an integrated PC – specifically for video on demand/IPTV.
Meivo.tv features a 22″ flat panel screen, a Core 2 Duo E4300 processor, a gig of DDR2, full wireless connectivity and Vista home premium. It is also HD ready.
It retails at £999 and an upgrade to an E6300 CPU is available for an extra £99.
Rock has entered into the alliance with Gem Distribution and now plans to launch Meivo-tv in the UK.
Gem will demonstrate the meivo series at the CEDIA Expo show at the Excel Centre in London on the 26th, 27th and 28th June 2007.
