A sure sign that any platform is about to hit the big time is when you see big businesses taking an interest. This can be said about IPTV, we all know the potential but as with the early days of the internet, it is just a matter of finding something interesting to look at.

In a joint venture Amazon will soon be available through TiVo set top boxes, not only will viewers be able to see what the company has to offer, Amazon will be making movies available through the set top boxes.

The great thing about this is not the fact that Amazon are going to be pushing this hard, but the fact that this will liven up the whole marketplace, with Apple and Microsoft both interested in this way of supplying services to the public, this will surely open up the market before the other try and close it down. Competition is the key to getting the best services and prices.
