Iogear's HDMI Switch clears cable clutter
by Janet Harris

If you are fed up of the tangle of cables connected to your HDTV, Iogear’s new HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) switch could be just what you need.
The switch connects an HDTV to devices such as a DVD Player, video games console, Apple TV or media server, with just one HDMI cable, eliminating the need for wires from each device directly to the HDTV.
It also solves the problem of having more HDMI devices than HDMI ports on the back of the television.
The HDMI switch is High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compliant and supports 1080p resolution.
Iogear’s patented HDAS switching technology automatically switches to whichever device is turned on, eliminating the need for a dedicated remote for the switch. LEDs on the front of the switch show which device is currently in use.
It’s also possible to switch between HDMI devices via an included remote control.
