Pioneer to launch first 1080p plasma TVs
Pioneer, the Plasma TV specialist, is planning to launch its first Full HD resolution plasma displays in the US this October.

The 50-inch and 60-inch sets will sell for $6,060 and $8,340, respectively in Japan. “Elite” version of both will also be available at an extra cost of $1,000 on each set.

The new sets will offer deeper blacks than ever before and will have a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Pioneer has also recently updated its Kuro line of plasma TVs with two new models.
