by Janet Harris

Consumer electronics company Venturer announced its SHD7000 HD DVD player at the IFA consumer electronics show. The slimline model will retail for under £200 – the first European player available at this price level.
The SHD7000 runs to 1080i HD output via an HDMI 1.2 port and also features composite-, component- and s-video ports.
It has Dolby TrueHD sound processing together with analogue and digital audio ports.
The player is expected to be available in time for Christmas through major UK and European retailers.
