Tiscali has finally signed an agreement with Irish broadcaster Setanta, to offer three Setanta Sports subscription channels on its newly launched Tiscali Internet TV service. The agreement marks the end of several months of negotiations between the two companies.
Tiscali TV customers will be able to watch live Premier League football, the US PGA Tour and other sports from Setanta for an extra £9.99 per month.
The IPTV service is currently available to five million homes and Tiscali is rolling the service out to another five million by the end of the year.
The deal with Tiscali is the latest distribution deal for Setanta, which also provides its channels via Freeview, Sky, BT Vision and Virgin Media.
