Hungarian telco Invitel have distanced themselves from earlier reported claims of preparing a host of IPTV services.
Sourced from an earlier interview with Chris Dziadul, it was suggested that Invitel had a clear IPTV strategy that had been developed in concert with Video on Demand (VOD) services.
However, a spokesperson for parent company HTCC, Brigitta Kedves, said the company distanced itself from the inferences made in the interview.
Additionally, HTCC have stated that there are no public plans as yet for an IPTV offering in Hungary for Invitel’s ADSL subscribers.
In the meantime, IPTV Watch respectfully withdraws its earlier coverage of Mr Dziadul’s comments, until such time as Invitel make any public announcement of IPTV services to be launched.
