LG announces 32-inch plasma TV
LG is planning to launch a 32-inch plasma TV in the UK market in November. The set is the first plasma TV of this size to be released by LG. The technology is more commonly associated with much larger screen sizes.

The product is targeted at plasma fans who either have limited space, or who want a secondary TV. It has also been designed with the emerging market in mind, where demand is being driven by the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

The LG 32PC5RV TV features 16:9 aspect ratio for watching high-quality sources such as DVDs, and a 0.001 ms response time which is ideal for fast moving images.

LG plans to focus on selling the model to hoteliers and to retailers specialising in small-size wall-mounted TV.

The LG 32PC5RV plasma will be available this month in Brazil, and a further 27 countries by November.

Price details have not yet been released, but Plasma sets tend to be more expensive than same-size LCD sets.
