
T-Mobile has announced the T-Mobile Shadow from HTC, the first in the Shadow range of affordable multimedia smartphones.
The quad-band phone runs Windows Mobile 6 and has a slide-out ‘QWERTY-like’ keypad, which is five keys wide and has two letters on each key.
The phone allows users to view and edit Microsoft Office documents and also features a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth, and WiFi functionality.
The phone has advanced messaging capabilities, with Windows Live Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and ICQ all built in.
It can synchronize wirelessly with Microsoft Exchange 2003, and provides access to multiple email accounts.
The phone also features T-Mobile’s customised “My Faves” interface.
T-Mobile Shadow measures 2.1 x 4.1 x 0.6 inches and weighs in at 5.3 ounces. The phone features either a copper or sage keypad, and will be available in the US soon.
As yet, there is no firm release date for the UK.
