US football fans prefer to watch game on HDTV
by Janet Harris

A Motorola Home Networks and Mobility survey found that nearly half of all sports fans in the US prefer to watch football on HDTV rather than go to a game, as high definition TVs are now so realistic.
Motorola surveyed 1,000 American college football and professional football fans.
Only 32 percent of those surveyed said they would rather go and watch the game in a stadium than view it on an HDTV.
Men were more likely to choose the HDTV option than women – 51 percent of men said they would rather watch the game on HDTV compared with 41 percent of the women surveyed.
