Sky news advances into Europe
by David Allen
While other satellite operators are struggling to gain a larger market share or in some cases keep their existing market share but bucking the trend is Sky News they continue to advance into territories that most people would have thought to be closed to them.
The most recent expansion is into France where Sky News is now available in around six million homes across the country.
Sky news will be available via IPTV services like Orange and Telecom Italia Alice, and as from next month will become available through a mobile TV network, SFR. Sky News is also available to anyone who receives a signal from the Astra 1 satellite, which is the same one that is received in the UK.
