Broadband speeds differ greatly

by David Allen

The UK is having long debates regarding the speed of broadband as this will have a long term affect on the future of IPTV.

But starting a debate on a subject such as available broadband speeds actually throws up more questions than answers, it’s a bit like asking a question and getting a load of answers back that are all right, but at the same time are not the answer that you are looking for.

As far as speeds go, the UK is average at around 5 Mbps although 10 Mbps should be available, it is however both France and Sweden that have the top speeds of over 10 Mbps, in fact France advertises 44 Mbps, while Sweden offers 21 Mbps.

It would be nice to see and average speed set across the board.
