Orange IPTV launch delayed

by David Allen

Well that is not exactly true the company have until the end of the year to stay true its promises that they would be launching a viable and competitive IPTV service in 2007! It has to be said Orange have had their problems but is that any excuse?

From what we can understand, they have only managed to acquire one major content provider, and this is Disney! So as for them being able to launch a successful brand within the next couple of weeks, well it just doesn’t seem possible, unless they have been sandbagging everyone and all of a sudden there will be an announcement that they are ready to go!

Of course they are not alone, BT and Tiscali are in the same boat, but Orange is part of France Telecom and they do have a very successful IPTV service operating in France.
