Sky on computer

by David Allen

For subscribers of Sky they have been able to watch some programming on their computers via the Sky Anytime service, now this service is going to be opened up to anyone where most of the popular programmes like Lost, Stargate Atlantis and Las Vegas can be seen for the small charge of £2 per view.

For sports fans there is the opportunity for computer users to see the Sky sports online service, where there are short clips of around thirty minutes of premier league games, championship highlights, and access to sports discussion shows.

This is a great opportunity for non Sky subscribers to see some of the content without having to commit to a package etc. There is a time issue though; Sky does state that an average film will take around two hours to download over a 1 mb connection.
