Christmas present from the BBC!

by David Allen

The BBC have been toying with their iPlayer for some month now and it seems that they have finally decided to take it out of beta and launch it for real, the launch date has been set as December 25th 2007, a strange time to launch but who are we to complain.

The iPlayer is a pretty cool way of catching up with BBC programming that has been missed for some reason or other. A user will need to sign up to get access but that is all, once done then they will be able to watch programmes from the past seven days in full and at no extra charge, providing that you already have a TV licence that is!

It only works on Windows at the moment, I tried it with Firefox and would not run, so there may be some issues there, but never the less, this looks good.
