UK heads up multi channel viewing

The multi channel market in the UK is growing at a much faster rate than in any other European market sector, with figures from the International Communications Market 2007 by Ofcom, the UK has seen its share of multi channel viewing grow to around 33% in 2006.
The next largest market is Germany where they see around 30%, while in the other main countries of western Europe like France, Spain and Italy the figure ranges from only 10% to 14%.
With this growth in multi channel viewing the revenue has also grown by 3%to £66.1 billion, which is around 40% of all revenue taken. It is the US and Japanese markets that excel with the best TV viewing figures with 4.5 hours per day, Italy and Poland watch around 4 hours per day and in Sweden who are the lowest watch TV for only 2.6 hours per day.
