UK broadband use rises
by David Allen
It seems that households in the UK are loving the super fast world of broadband, with user numbers growing all of the time, the actual figure is actually just over half of the UK household have signed up for high speed internet.
These figures come from a report written by the regulator Ofcom, and these figure show that the take up is higher than it is in the US, which is great and is directly attributed to the amount packages that are out there at the moment. These packages are so good, because they combine phone, internet and in some cases TV all for one low payment.
Another point which is promising is the amount of older people signing up for broadband; they see services like VOIP being useful for them to stay in touch with family and friends.
