Pub landlady loses appeal over Sky

by David Allen

Finally the court has heard the appeal on the case of the pub landlady who was showing Premier league football matches in her pub in the Red, White and Blue in Southsea, Hampshire.

She was signed up to the Greek DTH service Nova, this was instead of signing up to Sky sports for their sports package which includes the live premier league matches, but this went Sky’s way and because it was found that Sky had the exclusive rights to screen the premier league matches in the UK, but the landlady appealed against the decision.

However the courts have reached their verdict the case has been upheld and once again Sky wins the day.
