Internet TV favourite with the young

It seems that the younger internet user around Europe spends more time on the internet than they do watching television; it appears that the image of the family sitting in one room watching TV on a Saturday no longer exists.

So what do the younger users do online? Well it seems that they are watching their favourite television programmes, films and video clips online; this sort of activity has increased by over 150% in the last year alone.

The reason for this increase is the fact that broadband has been taken up be many more households, in fact the figure is around 81% coverage. Although the main reason for having the internet is for sending email and visiting websites.
