Asus to demo Terabyte laptop at CES

Asus is planning to unveil a laptop with two 500GB hard drives, at the CES 2008 event in Las Vegas, 7 - 10 January.
The M70S laptop has a massive 1 terabyte of storage space and is targeted at the multimedia sector of the laptop market. The rapidly growing popularity of digital video is driving demand for increased storage space on laptops.
The Asus M70S model includes dual Hitachi Travelstar 5K50 hard drives, which can be organised in either a RAID 0 configuration, where the data is shared between the two drives, or in a RAID 1 configuration, where data is mirrored on each drive.
The RAID 0 configuration can provide enhanced performance, while the RAID 1 configuration provided added data security in case of drive failure.
The Asus M70 features a digital/analog TV tuner, video recording capability, an an optional remote control, and a 17-inch widescreen display at either WXGA+ (1,440 by 900 pixels) or WUXGA (1,920 by 1,200 pixels) resolution depending on the model.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core2 Duo processor and includes an ATI 3650 graphics card, web cam, fingerprint reader and 1G byte of memory
