All children to get access to broadband

by David Allen

In a plan being drawn up by the government to improve the education standard may see that all children no matter of their parent’s circumstances being able to access the internet via a broadband connection, the government are in discussions with the likes of BT, Microsoft and RM.

It is estimated that around a million kids do not have access to any internet at all home which is having detrimental effect on the education of these children as much of the work being done today at school has an element of study requiring the use of the internet.

The Department of Children, Schools and Families will be making this one of their priorities and are considering this as part of the help that underprivileged children get, help with uniforms, equipment and sports gear.

This needs to be made affordable and practical before it can be released onto a marketplace of over a million potential sign ups.
