Broadband may be compulsory for kids

by David Allen

Following the announcement that the government may offer broadband to all children in the UK, it seems that this may not be so and the fact is that parents of children who are at school will be required to provide them with high speed internet.

This would appear to be along the lines of what was first mentioned, but parents being required to provide such things may not always be possible.

The government see this as a way of creating an alliance between school and home, where parents and pupils will be getting involved. The internet is ideal for this type of work, as the school work can be monitored, however there may be problems further down the line where there are several children who wanting to get onto the computer at the same time.
