The importance of broadband

by David Allen

Research has been undertaken by the telecoms and broadband supplier Talk Talk, which shows that around seventy per cent of parents of school aged children believe that having fast internet is an absolute essential tool in order for them to succeed at school.

They also found out that in the same survey, that sixty four per cent of parents believed that it is the government’s obligation to make sure that all school children can have access to the internet at home.

This just shows that the internet has fast become the tool of choice for school children to help with their home work, and other school related research. With broadband they are able to view video, audio, text and graphics, which makes the whole learning process more exciting.

However there are some problems with this, RM the school computer provider estimate that broadband services for school could cost around £10,000.
