MP’s table petition for faster broadband

by David Allen

Theresa May the shadow leader of the House of Commons has tabled a parliamentary petition which is calling for both the government and the regulator Ofcom to do something about the speed of broadband in rural areas.

Twenty two MP’s have already signed the petition, and there is a call for businesses that are experiencing tough problems with broadband in their locations to contact their MP’s and urge them to sign up as well.

There have some serious issues on how broadband is managed in rural areas, and yet there are many businesses situated in the countryside as well as people who work from home. These people have been neglected over the years and only now this problem is coming to light.
