The Telegraph launches new IPTV Channels

by David Allen

Its not the sort of thing that you would expect from the Telegraph, but they have gone into online video with a major push by launching seven brand new online television shows, following a large investment into this sector.

The details of the shows are as follows:

10 Minutes To Table (Wednesdays): A “real time food programme” hosted by Lloyd Grossman and Telegraph foodie Xanthe Clay.
Pierce. Includes a Smith and Jones-style skit between Tory blogger Iain Dale and columnist Simon Heffer.
Real Trips: Travel.
Right On (Thursdays): politics talk show, during parliament, featuring Ann Widdecombe and Telegraph assistant editor Andrew
The Culture Minute (Daily): Arts editor Sarah Crompton reviews the latest creative endeavours, with an omnibus on Saturdays.
The Gadget Inspectors: Don’t bet against it being about technology.
Their Hands: No details later.
The Wheel Deal: Cars.
Your Money: Personal finance.

The Telegraph started a while ago with a video news section, this has proved such a success that the expansion has been seen as the next logical step.
