Toshiba HD DVD player, Bargain

by Grant Draper

The news of Toshiba driving promotion of its DVD players in the USA, which is based on a keen pricing strategy, seems to have rubbed off in the UK as well.

The Toshiba bargain was spotted in a local Tesco supermarket, displaying last generation pricing, for next generation hardware.

The HD-EP30, launched in autumn 2007, offers features such as 1080p image support and 24 frames per second playback rate, as well as up scaling properties for normal DVDS

The price of £179, nearly 30% off the RRP £250, is surprisingly low, and includes seven free films and 1,000 club card points – “every little helps”.
