The digital revolution ten years on

by David Allen
The digital revolution ten years on

If we imagine life before digital and IPTV, firstly it seems such a long time ago and how did we survive the analogue days? Well we did, but how are we looking for the next ten years?

This is an exciting time, but we are still going to be forced to wait to get a real fully operational IPTV service, granted we have BT Vision, Tiscali and Orange, but their services are still not really up to scratch, and with less than 100,000 users shared between them it is not likely to be until there is some sort of unified speed and a real service from the operators.

The problem that faces IPTV is the fact that Sky has all the great shows, and until someone comes along with an alternative that can compete with Sky there is always going to be problems for the IPTV operators.
