Broadband on the buses

by David Allen
Broadband on the buses

One of the leaders in the development of mobile wireless access systems, Moovera Networks will be supplying the coach and bus company Scottish Citylink with services that will provide both internet access and long distance vehicle tracking throughout the routes in Scotland.

The first route to get this experience will be the one that travels between Glasgow and Edinburgh, it will provide a broadband speed of up to 1.8 Mbps, and it should be stable throughout the entire journey which is estimated to last around seventy five minutes.

The benefits for the company are two fold, they can offer this service their passengers who may have gone by car or train and at the same time the company benefits from getting real time tracking of their vehicles which enable them to mange their fleet.
