Set top box for Microsoft and BT
by Grant Draper

After just one week after CES left clues about the possibility of Microsoft and BT working together to develop the Xbox into a set top box, BT IPTV/BT Vision, has signed a content deal with Disney-ABC International Television.
Signing the deal means that shows produced by ABC including current US classics such as Lost, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds and Scrubs, to name a few, are now accessible by BT vision customers.
Senior vice president of sales for Disney-ABC International Television EMEA, Said:
“We’re pleased to be building upon our established relationship with BT Vision, to bring some of the most talked about shows on TV to subscribers. The flexibility of the on-demand technology is ideal for viewers wanting to discover, catch up or revisit with, these must-see series”
Pay per view basis is available however there are options for a £6 per month TV pack including unlimited access or £14 per month which includes TV, Music, Kids and Replay Packs.
The exciting news has created more hype around BT vision than that of CES itself, and follows the Sony/PSP top box deal.
