Carphone Warehouse finishes year on high
by David Allen

Despite all of the problems that hit the county’s largest mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse finished the year on a very steady note indeed, yet it was not the sale of mobile phones that boosted the company’s turnover.
The CW Broadband service Talk Talk was the hero of the third quarter with a huge 118,000 new customers signing up for one of their broadband services, this influx has seen the Talk Talk user base expand to over two and half million. What makes these figures even better is the fact that this period coincides with the ending of the first eighteen month contracts, many of whom were very disappointed with the service that they got at the time.
With Talk Talk bringing in over £349 million per year along the successful high street retail business makes the Carphone Warehouse a very attractive takeover target for this year!
