Digital TV switch off a success
by David Allen

When the news first came out that the analogue signal for receiving TV through an aerial was going to be switched off, there were all sorts of alarm bells ringing around the country, but it is now over three months since the first area was turned off and there has been some useful feedback form those people who were the first to experience the switchover.
From a survey it was found that out those who switchover to digital, sixty per cent chose to go with a free view box, while forty per cent chose to go digital with sky. This was done in pretty good time as almost the entire household had gone digital by mid November for the main TV, while the second sets were all digital by the middle of December.
When asked about digital TV as a whole, ninety four per cent said that they were either pleased or neutral about what digital TV, while just five per cent said digital was worse than analogue.
