Setanta strikes deal with UFC

The emerging sports and news channel Setanta have once again signed up a surprise for their growing band of users, by signing up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in a multi year deal that will allow the channel to show all of the events.
These events will include all UK and US championship fights as well as all the other programming that accompanies it.
The deal is initially for 2008 and 2009 and although the full programming will not be shown until July there will be a certain amount of live events available.
After July new cards will be issued, and as such the subscribers will be able to view all of the UFC content.
This is one service from Setanta that will not be available on a pay as you go deal, in order to get access to the UFC it will necessary for viewers to sign up for a monthly subscription of £9.99 per month.
