Illuminaire has launched an ambient lighting system for flat-screen TVs, which can be installed in any home theatre set-up.
The system comprises ultra-thin LED wands to surround a TV and speakers. It is claimed that they enhance TV viewing and reduce eye-strain.
The wands offer a range of effects, including full-spectrum colour changing, 130 degree light dispersal, strobe lights, sleep mode, and remote control. Viewers can easily change the effect via a remote control.
The PLX312 is a 2 x 14″ solid state unit suitable for TV units between 17 and 32 inches. It is priced at £124.99.
The PLX318 2 x 23″ unit is suitable for 32 to 60 inch sets and costs £169.99.
The lights have a life expectancy of 50,000 hours and are provided with a 12 month warranty.
