The end of the analogue TV
by David Allen

Most people in the UK have heard about the switchover from analogue to digital and if they haven’t then they may in trouble later on when the change over happens in their area.
Another clue to people who are a little unsure about all of this may be coming to a high street soon, for the leading electronics retailer DSG International whose group is made up from the retail chains of, Currys, PC World, and Dixons have decided that from now they will not be selling analogue televisions.
This means that the switchover is totally real and people should take notice of this right now, because it has already started in Cumbria and will be completely finished by 2012, but digital TV’s can pick up the signal without the need for a set top box, but analogue TV’s can pick up the same signal with a set top box, so the end is not entirely over for the analogue TV, it just getting closer.
