BBC to change credits
by David Allen

Due the amount of complaints that the BBC have received from licence fee payers regarding the corporations decision to change the credits at the end of most programmes on all of the BBC channels. Whereas before the programme was allowed to finish in its entirety, now the programme that has just finished is squeezed into half the screen, while the other half of the screen shows a trailer for what is coming on next or at some other time.
The complaints are from people who say that the new way is no good, simply because they cannot read the credits.
The BBC are looking into how they resolve the problem, one simple way would be to return to the old style finishing, but that would take up time, so they are considering asking the producers of the programmes to consider the use of larger fonts for the credits, which would make them much easier to read even when squashed up into half of the screen.
