BT launches Communications Complete VoIP for SMEs

BT Group’s Business division has launched Communications Complete, a unified communications system for small businesses, designed in collaboration with Cisco.

Communications Complete is a simple, networked Internet telephony platform providing voice, video, data, security and wireless networking.

Research by BT and Cisco found that 85 per cent of small to medium-sized companies lose business to larger rivals. Communications Complete is designed to help redress this balance by allowing smaller businesses to effectively exploit business communications.

Communications Complete, which is based on Cisco’s UC500 IP phone system, provides advanced telephony and call management features to help SMEs deliver superior customer service.

The system also provides applications for remote working, unified messaging, and a call centre capability to facilitate collaborative working. This can be integrated with BT services such as IT Manager, Office Anywhere and MS Outlook.

The UK launch of Communications Complete will be followed by a launch in Ireland and then the rest of Europe, with the roll-out expected to be completed by the end of the year. The system is available for up to 48 workers initially, but BT plans to extend this to over 100 workers.

The price of the system varies according to the customer’s specific needs.
