Gefen announces add-on HDTV solutions

Gefen is producing a range of add-on HDTV solutions called Gefen TV in order to make professional quality solutions more accessible to domestic users.

The range is based on the company’s professional series solutions, but features streamlined, user-friendly enclosures providing simple, plug and play connections for HDTV equipment.

The competitively-priced range is designed to allow consumers, who don’t have in-depth knowledge of audio/video systems to create, to create a high quality home theatre system.

Gefen has started shipping the Gefen TV Switcher which allows four different HDTV sources to be connected to one display or projector using HDMI connectors. The switcher provides direct access to all four sources at the press of a button.

There is also an automatic switching feature which recognises a recently powered device and switches to it automatically.

The Gefen TV Switcher is HDMI v1.3 compliant so it will work with the most up-to-date HDTV devices.
