Exterity prepares for IPTV growth in Scotland

Exterity Ltd, an Edinburgh-based manufacturer of network IPTV equipment, has appointed a Channel Sales Manager for Scotland, in response to growth in demand for its products in its home territory.

Exterity has had considerable success in global markets over the past seven years. Its products are used by over 500 customers in 17 countries, including media-giant Reuters and global brewer SAB Miller.

In his role as Channel Sales Manager for Scotland, Mr Ian Simpson will now help to maintain and expand the company’s partner portfolio in Scotland, with a particular focus on the education, corporate and hospitality sectors.

Exterity’s solution can turn an existing IP network into a complete IPTV solution. It uses plug-and play devices and open standards to allow integration with other IPTV systems.

The solution is suitable for any size of organisation, including major enterprises with dispersed offices and schools with a single site.

Exterity has benefited from IPTV’s growth in popularity across Europe and the Middle East, and the company has developed a strong presence in these regions.

Exterity now expects Scotland to enter a similar period of growth in terms of the adoption of IPTV, and the appointment of a Channel Sales Manager for Scotland will help it capitalise on opportunities for growth.
