Village could end up with no broadband
by David Allen

It turns out that a village in Cambridgeshire may end up with no broadband at all following a fault that has developed in the exchange that manages their connections.
The people who live in the village of Prickwillow will have to wait to see if their high speed internet will be fixed or taken away leaving them without the connection at all. The problem lies with the equipment that was installed in the exchange by Trilogy Telecom and with a government grant, but this is now become outdated.
The villagers are being asked to pay out a one time fee of £7,000 which will enable the new equipment to be fitted or face the alternative of going without. The village is using dial up at the moment; the big concern for some people is if there is no broadband would this effect the price of property.
