Sharp announces UK launch of AQUOS X Series TVs

Sharp is planning to launch its AQUOS X Series TVs in the UK, in September. The series was recently launched in Japan.
The ultra slim X Series LCD TV’s measure a mere 34mm at their thickest point, and come in three screen sizes — 37, 42, and 46 inches. They will be the slimmest commercially available screens in the UK.
The AQUOS X Series features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution panels, 120Hz processing, thin-profile 3-way 8-speaker system and 1-Bit digital amplifier along with 3 HDMI (v1.3) inputs.
The sets are environmentally friendly, consuming only 0.5 watts in standby mode. UK Pricing details have not yet been released.
