Denial that Freesat from Sky will close
by Lin Freestone

There are rumours circulating that Sky is planning to close its Freesat from Sky service.
It has been suggested the broadcaster would stop offering the product, which offers a basic line-up of channels without a subscription, as terrestrial broadcasters launch their Freesat service in the spring.
Sky has denied the rumours. A spokesman said: “Freesat from Sky is still available for a £150 one-off fee. There is no plan to withdraw this product.”
The rumour has provoked much speculation about Sky’s future plans.
