Basketball back on TV

Basketball back on TV<br />

Ever since Sky Sports dropped British Basketball from the small screen the sport has struggled to fine a home, and yet all of the time the leagues have been carrying on as normal which has cumulated in the BBL Trophy Final which is next month.

Fortunately the league has been in talks over the past few months with up and coming sports channel Setanta and it would seem that there is an agreement between both sides going to the announced shortly.

Unlike other minority sports such as ice hockey, netball, greyhound racing, and even pool, basketball has not really ever had a great relationship with the small screen, unlike in the states, but there are more choices now, with setanta around it may be possible for this and other minority sports and opportunity that has previous either been taken away or never been there for these sports to be shown on TV
